The Cluster Services of Medellin Medicine and Dentistry, was created the 17th of December, 2008.

The Promotion Council is composed of three institutions that take on the responsibility of creating the strategy to contribute to economic and social development of Medellin and the region. This is done through a public-private partnership with a commitment of financial resources, human talent, knowledge, fostering of confidence and having a neutral role in ensuring employers operate by the rules agreed and boost health tourism in the city-region with the companies in the production chain and all the institutions related to the strategy. This Promotion Council has a strategic role in line with national policy on competitiveness, a regional competitiveness plan and municipal policy development services. It consists of: The Chamber of Commerce of Medellín for Antioquia, Medellin Mayor's Office and the Foundation for the development of Antioquia - Proantioquia.

The Advisory Council: is the advisory body to support the direction of the Cluster and is composed of nine members representing employers in the service institutions of health, IPS medics, dental and medical schools, and directly representing the provision of health services to international patients and has become the benchmark for competitiveness.

It is formed by: Pablo Tobon Uribe Hospital, St. Vincent de Paul Hospital, Clinic Bolivariana, Medellín General Hospital and Clinica Las Americas on behalf of the Medical IPS. Dental Center and Dental Center Marian Congregation representing the dental IPS. The Faculty of Medicine of the ESC, on behalf of the Faculties of Medicine and Health Sciences.

Technical support

The Technical Committee is an open space for participation by all companies providing health services and medical and health sciences working in the Cluster Services of Medellin Medicine and Dentistry. It expresses the commitment to the strategy and is performed by professionals delegated by Managers / Directors / Deans. It is the point of support and technical operation to generate concepts, implementing projects, activities and tasks of the guidance of the Advisory Council, guided by the twelve strategic lines of the strategic plan for Cluster Services of Medicine and Dentistry. It meets monthly.

Operating Committee of Dentistry: The technical space defined by the entrepreneurs themselves, open to all active dental clinics in the Cluster and technical work primarily seeks to generate competitiveness and administrative aspects in the dental area. Meets weekly.
